Created by artist New York artist Phil Buehler, the Wall of Tears memorial installation honors the 18,457 Palestinian children killed since Oct. 7, 2023. Earlier in 2026, the Adelaide installation was funded by Sam Shahin. It was ripped down once and then installed again behind glass. The installation commemorates, with names and photographs, the thousands of children killed in Gaza up until mid-2025. These are innocent victims of the war against Palestinians in Gaza. They no longer have lives and dreams. At very least, each child deserves to have his or her name published so that they are not just one of an increasing number of deaths in Gaza.
